E’ cominciata una nuova Intifada?

L’orrendo massacro dell’ospedale Al-Alhi di Gaza, già colpito giorni fa da un razzo israeliano e di cui l’esercito di Israele aveva ordinato tre volte l’evacuazione, ha gettato ulteriore benzina sul fuoco della protesta anti-sionista, anti-statunitense, anti-occidentale che divampa ormai in tutto il Medio Oriente.

Per prime a reagire sono state le città della Cisgiordania occupata. A Ramallah (come a Jenin) sotto attacco è stata la sede e la politica della corrotta ANP di Abu Mazen totalmente infeudata allo stato israeliano, disposta a tramare con il nemico anche nel pieno dell’attacco genocida della banda Netanyahu alla popolazione di Gaza. In contemporanea, o quasi, la rivolta di massa si è accesa ad Amman, a Beirut, nello Yemen, sede di oceaniche dimostrazioni, arrivando fino al Cairo – dove il regime di al-Sisi scoraggia sistematicamente le manifestazioni pubbliche con pugno di ferro. L’attacco all’ambasciata amerikana e al palazzo dell’Onu a Beirut, la chiusura precauzionale delle ambasciate israeliane in Marocco e in Giordania, danno la misura da un lato della rabbia delle piazze arabe contro i grandi protettori dello stato di Israele, dall’altro della paura che si è impadronita dei governi borghesi arabi strettamente complici degli apparati sionisti (com’è il caso delle due monarchie in questione).

Abbiamo scritto in un precedente post relativo alle azioni di sabato 7 ottobre: “Non sappiamo se sia alle porte una nuova Intifada di massa, è ancora troppo presto per dirlo; quel che è certo è che la resistenza palestinese ha scritto una pagina di storia memorabile per tutti i movimenti di liberazione, che promette non solo di terremotare politicamente tutta la regione, compromettendo gli accordi tra israeliani e sauditi e la tenuta degli accordi di Abramo, ma anche di aprire un altro fronte della guerra globale tra oppressori e oppressi, tra sfruttatori e sfruttati, in primis contro l’imperialismo USA e i suoi alleati nella regione.”

Gli avvenimenti delle ultime ore ci dicono per certo che la popolazione di Gaza non è stata lasciata sola in questo momento tragico, che appare destinato a durare, se è vero che dopo la strage dell’ospedale battista tanto Netanyahu quanto il ministro della “sicurezza nazionale” israeliano hanno promesso l’intensificazione del massacro: “L’unica cosa che deve arrivare a Gaza sono centinaia di tonnellate di esplosivo dell’aeronautica militare, non aiuti umanitari” (parole grondanti sangue di Itamar Ben-Gvir). E non perderemo perciò il nostro tempo a questionare su chi sia stato a colpire l’ospedale Al-Alhi se anche il ministro degli esteri arabo-saudita Malki ha accusato Israele di averlo colpito “intenzionalmente” con, ad ora, 471 morti – in una settimana di bombardamenti a tappeto, indiscriminati, su Gaza i morti accertati sono, al momento (ore 19 del 18 ottobre), 3.478.

Lo sfoggio di rivendicato terrorismo di stato a cui sta ricorrendo in queste ore lo stato di Israele non è, per noi, una prova di forza, bensì di debolezza. Nell’attuale frangente l’operato criminale di questo stato colonialista è più che mai sotto gli occhi del mondo, e contribuirà a moltiplicarne l’isolamento e il discredito, a farne un bersaglio di odio inestinguibile, e a minarlo ulteriormente all’interno. Sintomatico è che Biden abbia dovuto mettere in guardia i suoi protetti dal ripetere gli “errori” degli Stati Uniti dopo l’11 settembre, che hanno avuto come esito la bruciante sconfitta militare e politica in Afghanistan, e la semi-sconfitta in Iraq, pur trattandosi di due guerre totalmente asimmetriche.

Nella sua guerra asimmetrica agli oppressi di Palestina, Israele ha già accumulato un passivo politico pesante, in corso di diventare pesantissimo – un altro aspetto dell’inesorabile perdita di dominio sul mondo del blocco degli imperialismi occidentali. Gongolano, ovviamente, i loro concorrenti nella disputa sulla nuova spartizione del mercato mondiale all’ordine del giorno, a cominciare dall’asse Russia-Cina che conosce, affermano Xi e Putin, un sempre più “stretto coordinamento strategico”. A seguire, gongola l’Iran dei capitalisti con il turbante, spietati massacratori di comunisti e di militanti rivoluzionari di grande vaglia negli anni ‘80, instancabili repressori da quarant’anni di ogni conato di autonomia e di liberazione dei lavoratori sfruttati e delle donne senza privilegi oppresse (le alto-borghesi nell’Iran di oggi se la spassano alla grande), ed altri campioni “anti-imperialisti” (!?) di simile fatta.

Le rivalità e i feroci conflitti inter-capitalistici possono agevolare la lotta di liberazione inestricabilmente nazionale e sociale delle masse palestinesi – ma solo alla condizione che questa lotta non si faccia soggiogare dalle manovre in corso per la rispartizione del mondo tra le grandi potenze e i capitalismi nazionali. Finora, tutti coloro che nel mondo arabo (e fuori) avevano pensato di potersela giocare a dadi per i propri interessi (dall’Egitto alla Giordania di re Hussein, dalla Libia di Gheddafi alla Siria di Assad padre, dalla Tunisia all’Arabia saudita, per arrivare agli stessi Stati Uniti) ne sono rimasti delusi, e hanno finito con il prenderne le distanze. La forza delle masse oppresse del mondo arabo-islamico (e non solo) che la resistenza palestinese ha saputo richiamare in campo ancora una volta in questi giorni, è la migliore delle premesse perché anche i nuovi candidati padrini restino delusi (avrete notato che tra i pochi paesi senza dimostrazioni pro-Palestina ci sono proprio Russia e Cina…), e perché risulti chiaro come il sole che una soluzione – anche parziale – della secolare questione palestinese può darsi solo all’interno di un processo rivoluzionario democratico anti-imperialista di area, a cui nessuna forza islamista è autenticamente interessata.

Che nei prossimi tempi si sviluppi o meno su grande scala una nuova potente Intifada palestinese e araba, l’importante è che da qui, dai paesi europei e occidentali, si levi forte nelle piazze la denuncia della totale complicità con i crimini di Israele delle potenze occidentali, Italia in prima fila con le sue grandi forniture di armi e i suoi ultra-sionisti mass media. Più forte sarà questa voce, più la resistenza palestinese trarrà incoraggiamento nella sua battaglia, più risulterà evidente l’angustia della prospettiva strettamente nazionalista e confessionale rappresentata da Hamas. Più forte sarà questa voce, più ne sarà incoraggiata anche la dissidenza interna ad Israele che è avversa alla fascistizzazione in atto di questo paese, la cui radicalizzazione è un altro fattore della soluzione del problema. Più i proletari delle metropoli romperanno la subordinazione ai loro governi e ne combatteranno a viso aperto la complicità con Israele e l’oppressione che esercitano in tutto il mondo, più si indebolirà l’ordine internazionale, e si rafforzerà la spinta a rovesciare i governi capitalistici in tutti i paesi.

Il futuro non appartiene certo alle vecchie, decrepite potenze occidentali, e neppure alle nuove potenze capitaliste che sperano di sostituire gli imperialisti occidentali nel comandare il mondo; appartiene alle masse degli proletari e dei diseredati di tutto il pianeta.

Has a new Intifada begun?

The horrendous massacre of the Al-Alhi hospital in Gaza, already hit days ago by an Israeli rocket and of which the Israeli army had ordered the evacuation three times, has thrown further fuel on the fire of the anti-Zionist, anti-American, anti-Western protest which is now spreading throughout the Middle East.

The cities of the occupied West Bank were the first to react. In Ramallah (as in Jenin) the headquarters and politics of Abu Mazen’s corrupt PA were under attack, totally enfeoffed to the Israeli state, willing to plot with the enemy even in the midst of the Netanyahu gang’s genocidal attack on the population of Gaza. At the same time, or almost simultaneously, the mass revolt broke out in Amman, Beirut, Yemen, home to huge demonstrations, reaching as far as Cairo – where the al-Sisi regime systematically discourages public demonstrations with an iron fist. The attack on the American embassy and the UN building in Beirut, the precautionary closure of the Israeli embassies in Morocco and Jordan, give the measure on the one hand of the anger of the Arab streets against the great protectors of the state of Israel, on the other hand of the fear that has taken hold of the Arab bourgeois governments who are strictly complicit with the Zionist apparatus (as is the case of the two monarchies in question).

We wrote in a previous post relating to the actions of Saturday 7 October: “We don’t know if a new mass Intifada is upon us, it’s still too early to say; what is certain is that the Palestinian resistance has written a memorable page of history for all liberation movements, which promises not only to politically shake the entire region, compromising the agreements between Israelis and Saudis and the keeping of the Abraham Accords, but also to open another front in the global war between oppressors and oppressed, between exploiters and exploited, primarily against US imperialism and its allies in the region.”

The events of the last few hours tell us for sure that the population of Gaza has not been left alone in this tragic moment, which appears destined to last, if it is true that after the Baptist hospital massacre, both Netanyahu and the Israelis minister of “national security” have promised the intensification of the massacre: “The only thing that must reach Gaza are hundreds of tons of explosives from the air force, not humanitarian aid” (words dripping with blood from Itamar Ben-Gvir). And we will therefore not waste our time questioning who hit the Al-Alhi hospital if even the Saudi-Arab foreign minister Malki accused Israel of having hit it “intentionally” with, so far, 471 deaths – in one week of indiscriminate carpet bombing in Gaza, the confirmed deaths are, at the moment (7 pm on October 18), 3,478.

The display of claimed state terrorism that the state of Israel is resorting to in these hours is not, for us, a test of strength, but rather of weakness. In the current situation, the criminal actions of this colonialist state are more than ever before the eyes of the world, and will contribute to multiplying its isolation and discredit, making it a target of inextinguishable hatred, and further undermining it internally. It is symptomatic that Biden had to warn his protégés against repeating the “mistakes” of the United States after 11 September, which resulted in the searing military and political defeat in Afghanistan, and the semi-defeat in Iraq, even though these were two totally asymmetrical wars.

In its asymmetric war on the oppressed of Palestine, Israel has already accumulated a heavy political deficit, which is in the process of becoming very heavy – another aspect of the inexorable loss of dominion over the world of the Western imperialist bloc. Obviously, their competitors in the dispute over the new division of the world market on the agenda are gloating, starting with the Russia-China axis which, say Xi and Putin, is experiencing increasingly “close strategic coordination”. Next, the Iran of turbaned capitalists gloats, which made ruthless massacres of valiant communists and revolutionary militants in the 1980s, and have been the tireless repressors for forty years of every attempt at autonomy and liberation of exploited workers and women without privileges (the upper middle classes women in today’s Iran are having a great time), and other “anti-imperialist” (!?) champions of a similar nature.

Rivalries and ferocious inter-capitalist conflicts can facilitate the national and social liberation struggle of the Palestinian oppressed masses – but only on the condition that this struggle is not subjugated by the ongoing maneuvers for the division of the world between the great powers and national capitalisms. Until now, all those in the Arab world (and outside) had thought they could play dice the Palestinian cause for their own interests (from Egypt to King Hussein’s Jordan, from Gaddafi’s Libya to Assad’s father’s Syria, from Tunisia to Saudi Arabia, to reach the United States itself) were disappointed by it, and ended up distancing themselves from it. The strength of the oppressed masses of the Arab-Islamic world (and not only) that the Palestinian resistance has been able to call into play once again in recent days is the best prerequisite for even the new godfather candidates to remain disappointed (you will have noticed that among the few countries without pro-Palestine demonstrations are Russia and China…), and so that it is clear as day that a solution – even partial – of the century-old Palestinian question can only occur within an area-wide anti-imperialist democratic revolutionary process, in which no Islamist force is genuinely interested.

Whether or not a new powerful Palestinian and Arab Intifada develops on a large scale in the near future, the important thing is that from here, from European and Western countries, the denunciation of the Western powers’ total complicity with Israel’s crimes – Italy in the front row with its large supplies of weapons and its ultra-Zionist mass media – is raised loudly in the streets. The stronger this voice will be, the more the Palestinian resistance will gain encouragement in its battle, the more evident will be the narrowness of the strictly nationalist and confessional perspective represented by Hamas. The stronger this voice will be, the more it will encourage dissidence within Israel which is opposed to the ongoing fascistization of this country, whose radicalization is another factor in the solution to the problem. The more the proletarians of the metropolises break the subordination to their governments and openly fight their complicity with Israel and the oppression they exercise throughout the world, the more the international order will weaken, and the drive to overthrow capitalist governments will strengthen in all countries.

The future certainly does not belong to the old, decrepit Western powers, nor to the new capitalist powers that hope to replace Western imperialists in ruling the world; it belongs to the masses of the proletarians and the dispossessed of the entire planet.
